Demography in Bentong :
Bentong District is a district located in western Pahang, Malaysia. Bentong covers an area of 1,831 km² and includes the hill resort of Genting Highlands.
Bentong District is divided into 3 townships which are:
Bentong (68,904 Ha) (Capital)
Sabai (57,157 Ha)
Pelangai (57,058 Ha)
Other than modern housing areas, there are 55 traditional villages, 8 Federal land development Authority Villages, 15 newer villages, and 14 native villages. In Bentong based on 2010 statistics, 53.9% of the gender are male and 46.1% are female. Age groups from 0-14 years are 25.7%, 15-64 years are 68.6%, and 65+ are 5.7%. The highest age distribution in Bentong people between 20-29 years and the lowest people are in 70+ years. Also, the highest number of nationalities in Bentong are Malaysians and they cover 94.4% others nationalities are 5.6%. Furthermore, in Bentong there are 3 main ethnic groups which are Malay & other indigenous (Bumiputera) and they cover 57. 3%, Chinese 33.3%, Indian 9.1 % and other groups 0.3%.
